Terms of Service — Carvline

By using Carvline (carvlineai.com), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Carvline is

Carvline is a snowboard (and skiing) video analysis tool that uses AI to give you feedback on your riding technique. We analyze still frames extracted from your video and return scoring + suggestions.

What it isn't

Carvline is not a substitute for professional coaching, medical advice, or supervised training. Snowboarding is an inherently risky activity. You alone are responsible for your safety. Use Carvline as a supplementary tool, not as the sole basis for technique decisions — especially in dangerous terrain (steeps, off-piste, park features, ice).

The AI provides educated guesses about your technique with approximately 70-85% accuracy for beginner-to-intermediate riders. Some advice may be wrong or off-context. Use your judgment.

Pricing and payment

Free tier: unlimited free 3-takeaway analyses. May be rate-limited if usage spikes.

USD $1 unlock (current pricing during testing): one full 8-dimension breakdown of a single clip you've already analyzed in free mode. Billed once per unlock through Stripe.

Future pricing may include a Season tier (USD $25 / season for unlimited unlocks) or Lifetime tier (USD $25 early-bird, normally $240). Pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice.

Refunds

If you're unhappy with any paid unlock, email us within 30 days and we'll refund you, no questions asked. We process refunds through Stripe — funds typically appear in 5-10 business days.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload content you don't have the right to upload (e.g. someone else's footage without consent)
Upload content that's not snowboard or ski riding (we'll reject it but please don't try)
Try to scrape, automate, or reverse-engineer the service
Use the service to harass, doxx, or otherwise harm others
Submit fraudulent payments
Resell access to the service

We may suspend or terminate access for repeated abuse.

Your content

You retain ownership of any video frames or analysis results you create through Carvline. We don't claim any rights to your riding footage.

By using Carvline, you grant us a temporary, non-exclusive license to process your video frames for the purpose of running the analysis (sending to Anthropic, computing the result). This license terminates when the analysis is complete.

Aggregate, anonymized stats (e.g. "23% of users score 5+ on Edge Engagement") may be used in product communications.

Service availability

We do our best to keep Carvline running, but we don't guarantee uptime. The service depends on third-party infrastructure (Cloudflare, Anthropic, Stripe) which can have outages. If our service is down for an extended period and prevents you from using a paid unlock, contact us and we'll either restore access or refund.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carvline and its operators are not liable for:

Any injury or damage from following AI-generated technique advice
Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
Service downtime, data loss, or analysis errors

Our maximum liability is capped at the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute will be handled by Singapore courts. If you're a consumer in another jurisdiction, this clause does not override your local consumer rights.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
